Why We Became a ThreatLocker Partner
Most antivirus and EDR tools still work on a “default allow” basis: every application is trusted to run unless it’s already known to be malicious. That model only ever catches threats someone else has already seen. It leaves a gap for new, unknown or fileless malware, which is exactly where a growing share of today’s ransomware attacks are getting in.
ThreatLocker takes the opposite approach. Nothing runs unless it’s been explicitly approved. That’s Zero Trust in practice, and it’s one of the few approaches proven to stop ransomware at the point of execution rather than after the damage is already underway.

Why Zero Trust, Why Now
Ransomware groups have got better at using legitimate tools already present on a device to move around a network undetected, a technique often called “living off the land.” Traditional antivirus, which is built to spot known bad files, frequently misses this entirely.
Zero Trust closes that gap by removing the assumption of trust altogether. It’s a shift we expect to see more UK MSPs and MSSPs adopt over the next few years, and we wanted to be ahead of that curve for our clients rather than behind it.
