Your AI Assistant

Microsoft Copilot works alongside you across every Microsoft 365 app, answering questions, generating content, and surfacing insights from your own business data. It's not a separate tool you have to learn. It's already where your team works.

Copilot in Outlook

Stop spending half your morning on email. Copilot drafts replies in your tone, summarises long threads in seconds, and pulls out the actions you actually need to take, so your inbox stops running your day.

Copilot in Excel

You don't need to be a formula expert to get answers from your data. Ask Copilot a question in plain English and it'll analyse, highlight trends, and build charts for you, turning spreadsheets from a chore into a conversation

Copilot in Word

Whether you're staring at a blank page or trying to tighten up a draft, Copilot gets you moving. Generate a first draft from a brief, rewrite for clarity, or summarise a lengthy document, all without leaving Word.

Copilot in PowerPoint

Turn a document, a brief, or a few bullet points into a structured, professional presentation. Copilot builds the slides, writes the speaker notes, and suggests layouts, so your team can focus on the message, not the formatting.

Why Microsoft Copilot?

AI is already changing how businesses work. Here’s what Microsoft Copilot delivers for yours.

Time Savings at Scale – Copilot users save an average of 1.2 hours per week. Across a team of 50, that’s over 3,000 hours a year redirected to higher-value work.

Better Quality Output – Copilot doesn’t just speed things up — it improves the end result. From catching inconsistencies in reports to structuring proposals more clearly, AI raises the bar.

Security You Can Trust – Your data stays in your Microsoft 365 tenant, is never used to train AI models, and never leaves your environment. Enterprise-grade security, by design.

No Learning Curve – Copilot lives inside Teams, Outlook, and Word, tools your team already knows. No new app, no new workflow, faster adoption.

Works With Your Existing Licences – Already on Microsoft 365? Copilot is an add-on, not a migration. You’re closer to getting started than you think.

UK GDPR Compliant – Copilot respects your existing data governance policies, access permissions, retention labels, and DLP rules included. Built for UK regulatory requirements.

Licensing Explained

Understanding Microsoft licensing can feel like reading a different language. Here’s what you actually need to know.

Microsoft Copilot for Microsoft 365 requires:

  • A qualifying Microsoft 365 base licence (Business Standard, Business Premium, E3, or E5)
  • A Microsoft 365 Copilot add-on licence

For smaller businesses or organisations not yet ready for the full add-on, Microsoft Copilot (Free and Business tiers) provides a version of Copilot in Bing, Edge, and Microsoft 365 apps with some limitations. We’ll help you understand which tier is right for you.

Minimum seat requirements: As of 2024, Microsoft removed the 300-seat minimum for Microsoft 365 Copilot — meaning businesses of all sizes can now access the full Copilot experience.

What Client Say About Us

Jack and the Disking Team have provided absolutely excellent support since we switched our IT Services and VOIP system over to them around a year ago. They are experts at all they do and it has been a breath of fresh air to our entire company since we began using them. Thank you Jack, Charlie, Ben and the entire disking team for your continued support. We look forward to continuing our partnership with you into the future!

Ollie Hickman Finance Officer - Multipix Imaging Components Ltd

Disking’s customer service is outstanding, and their services are exactly what have always looked for in an IT provider. I was very pleased with the service received from Disking, and very impressed with the quality of the service received. I highly recommend them to anyone looking for quality products and excellent service.

Paul Herbert IT Manager - Tangmere Military Aviation Museum

We are very impressed with the service offered by Disking. They are very responsive in dealing with our technical queries and their staff are extremely knowledgeable and helpful. We have also had cause to buy various pieces of hardware from them, and the prices they offer are competitive and we entirely trust they have the knowledge that we lack when selecting what we need.

Bramshott & Liphook Parish Council Jane Sawyer - Parish Clerk/RFO

Without hesitation, would highly recommend Disking to anybody who is in need of IT support. Professional and friendly customer service. Nothing is too much trouble.

Selborne Biological Services UK Ltd Katarzyna Luty - Operations Coordinator

We engaged Disking in November 2022 and haven’t looked back – they have been absolutely brilliant. They have taken over almost all the day to day admin/support associated with our IT infrastructure, freeing me up to focus on other areas (IT is far from my specialist subject!). They supported the migration from Google to Microsoft and have helped us to source and configure several new laptops and a wireless display. Configuring the latter proved really tricky but they persevered and managed to find a solution – they even followed up subsequently to check all was well. Jack has been absolutely brilliant, as has Charlie. Really impressive service and well worth the money.

Chisholm Design Ltd Robert Chisholm - Director

We got in touch last year with Disking when we were looking to review our business IT Solutions and if we could improve how we managed our IT. They came recommended to us by another business and I am pleased to say we have been working with them for 6 months and are very happy with the service level. From the initial enquiry, Jack in particular was very helpful and understood what we needed as a business, no question was too silly (I don’t pretend to be an expert in IT) and this really helped us work through what support would best suit our business and how affordable that would be. Switching to Disking as a new provider was made easy by the team and was a lot less disruptive to the business than I had anticipated. We are enjoying being a fully managed client and would definitely recommend.

I have been a customer of Disking for 10 years or so. Over this period they have purchased and set up several phones, iPads and a Personal Computer. On each occasion it was at a competitive price and with great service. I have recently had a problem with a significant quantity of music "stuck on my old iPod", following my uploading to iTunes from CDs about 10 years ago, which the system would not allow me to synchronise back to my phone. Charlie of Disking Liphook researched the problem, and was able to make the music available through my phone. His support and initiative was superb. Thank you.

Hello. I have just purchased a Canon PIXMA TS3450 printer from Disking in Hindhead. I would like to thank Jack Calloway for his time and expert advice before I purchased the printer as to which printer I should buy and indeed his kindness and help when I was trying to connect it to my laptop. I managed to set up the printer on my own but was getting frustrated with the connection. Jack was a complete star and guided me through the process calmly and with great efficiency. As I am nearly 70years old - this meant the world to me and I now have a working printer!!! Thank you Jack.

Microsoft Copilot FAQ's

Read some of our frequently asked questions on Microsoft 365 Copilot.

Microsoft Copilot is an AI-powered assistant built into Microsoft 365 applications including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Teams. It uses large language models (LLMs) — specifically Microsoft's integration of OpenAI's GPT technology — combined with your organisation's own data through Microsoft Graph. This means Copilot can contextualise responses based on your actual emails, documents, meetings, and files, rather than giving generic answers. It works by processing your natural language prompts and returning intelligent, context-aware suggestions, drafts, summaries, and analyses directly inside the apps you already use.

Yes. Microsoft Copilot for Microsoft 365 is built on the same enterprise-grade security and compliance architecture as the rest of the Microsoft 365 platform. Critically, your data is never used to train Microsoft's AI models, and it never leaves your Microsoft 365 tenant. Copilot respects your existing access permissions — so users only see content they already have permission to access. It also integrates with Microsoft Purview for data governance, sensitivity labels, and compliance policies. For UK businesses, this means Copilot can be deployed in a manner consistent with UK GDPR requirements.

Microsoft 365 Copilot is available as an add-on licence at £25 per user per month (excluding VAT), and requires an eligible base Microsoft 365 licence (Business Standard, Business Premium, E3, or E5). There is no longer a minimum seat requirement, meaning businesses of all sizes can purchase as few licences as they need. Microsoft also offers a free tier of Copilot (available in Bing and Edge) and a Copilot Pro tier for individuals (approximately £19/month) with access in Microsoft 365 desktop apps, though without the full organisational data integration available in the business licence. Disking IT can help you identify the most cost-effective licensing approach for your specific team size and needs.

Not necessarily. If you're already on a qualifying Microsoft 365 plan — such as Business Standard, Business Premium, E3, or E5 — you can simply add the Microsoft 365 Copilot licence on top of what you already have. You do not need to migrate to a new platform or change your existing applications. Disking IT will review your current licences as part of a readiness assessment and advise on any changes needed before deployment.

Both use large language models, but there are important differences for business use. ChatGPT is a standalone tool with no direct integration into your work applications or data. Microsoft Copilot is embedded directly into Microsoft 365 apps and has access to your organisation's data through Microsoft Graph — meaning it can summarise a specific email thread, pull information from a SharePoint document, or draft a reply with the context of your entire conversation history. Copilot also operates within your Microsoft 365 security and compliance boundaries, making it significantly more suitable for business and regulated environments than a public-facing chatbot.

Microsoft Copilot is designed to be intuitive for anyone already familiar with Microsoft 365 — the interface is conversational and embedded in familiar apps, so there's no steep learning curve. However, to get the most value from Copilot, users benefit from understanding how to write effective prompts (instructions given to the AI) and which Copilot features are best suited to their specific role. Disking IT provides role-based training for teams of all sizes, covering practical use cases relevant to your industry, so your team can start saving time from day one rather than experimenting on their own.

Copilot can only surface data that the user already has permission to access within Microsoft 365. It does not bypass existing access controls, sharing permissions, or sensitivity labels. However, this does highlight the importance of good data governance before deploying Copilot — if your Microsoft 365 environment has overly broad sharing permissions or outdated access rights, Copilot could surface more information than intended. As part of our deployment process, Disking IT conducts a data governance review to identify and address any such issues before Copilot is enabled.

The technical deployment of Microsoft Copilot is relatively quick — licences can be assigned within hours of procurement. However, a well-managed deployment that ensures security, governance, and user adoption typically takes two to four weeks end-to-end. This includes a readiness assessment of your Microsoft 365 environment, any necessary remediation (such as reviewing data permissions), configuration of Copilot settings, and delivery of user training. Disking IT follows a structured deployment process to ensure your rollout is smooth and that your team is ready to use Copilot effectively from the first day.

Yes. Microsoft removed the 300-seat minimum for Microsoft 365 Copilot in early 2024, meaning small and medium-sized businesses can now purchase as few or as many licences as they need. Copilot for Microsoft 365 is available to businesses on qualifying plans including Microsoft 365 Business Standard and Business Premium — both of which are commonly used by SMBs in the UK. Disking IT works with businesses of all sizes and can help you pilot Copilot with a small number of users before rolling it out more widely.
